We are pleased to report that we are in the final stages of locking slate for the 2007 Gen Art Film Festival. We will be announcing the official selections next week.  The festival will kick off with our launch party, which will take place at the ultra-chic té casan store in SoHo, NYC on Wednesday March 28th.

Opening Night will be on Wednesday April 11th and the fest will run one week with 7 premieres and 7 parties every night through April 17th at Clearview's Chelsea West theater on West 23rd Street.  But that's only the beginning . . .  

 . . . if you have or would like to shoot an under 5 minute "green" short - be sure to submit to our inaugural Online Film Festival. GAFF07 submitters must upload their films as instructed for consideration. (see below)

 

 

Show us the “Green”

 

Gen Art and Planet Green Game, a partnership between Starbucks and Global Green USA, are excited to offer seven individuals a unique opportunity to share their thoughts, concerns, hopes and visions about the growing climate crisis by showcasing their “Green” themed short films through The Gen Art Online Film Festival.  The festival will take place online and “in world” at PlanetGreenGame.com.  Sevenfinalists will be selected and then through online voting, one of the seven filmmakers will win $2500 plus a premiere screening at the 12^th annual Gen Art Film Festival presented by Acura, in New York City .  The competition is open to anyone with a camera who wants to have their voice heard and inspire change. As artists and filmmakers we are challenging you to submit a short film (5 minutes or less) in all genres (documentary, music video, narrative, experimental, rant, etc.)  But hurry the submission window is closing soon! (deadline is March 21^st 2007)
