"'Dare' rejects the notion of senior year as a time when greeting-card emotions come true, portraying it instead as a randy petri dish for sexual experimentation. Focusing on three drama students who do a bit too much extracurricular bonding, this 'Cruel Intentions'-style cesspool of teenage hanky-panky..."Peter Debruge, Variety

Synopsis:
Dare In high school, what kind of person did you dare to be: risk-taking and lustful, melancholy and confused or simply safe and over-achieving? Dare follows three teenagers through their last semester of school: Alexa (Emmy Rossum), the smart, good girl who longs to break out of her shell; Ben (Ashley Springer), the lonely outsider dealing with his sexuality; and Johnny (Zach Gilford), the rich, seemingly perfect bad-boy who has everything. In a last-ditch effort to shake things up before graduating and start living as adults, this unlikely trio take the biggest risks of their lives. In the process, they learn no one is exactly who they appear to be.

A Sundance Film Festival breakout, Dare also stars Ana Gasteyer, Rooney Mara, Sandra Bernhard and Alan Cumming. The film is produced by Mary Jane Skalski (The Visitor, The Station Agent) and Jason Orans (Goodbye Solo), written by David Brind and directed by Adam Salky. Original music is by Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening) & David Poe.

Image Entertainment presents DARE in a theater near you on November 13th.
