
GEN ART MUSIC
Now in its 13th year, Gen Art has developed live music programming to give young music enthusiasts inside and exclusive access to the best in emerging artists who are charting the course for the music world today. Gen Art invites both emerging independent and influential established artists to participate in these programs which draw a high-profile audience of tastemakers, music industry leaders, press and celebrities. Past Gen Art music events have featured everyone from established artists like Beastie Boys and Perry Farrell to rising stars like Cary Brothers, MGMT, Jose Gonzalez, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Menomena and many more…
Gen Art consists of an elite group of 22-35 year old supporters of the arts who are interested in exploring the cutting edge in music and allowing Gen Art to act as the filter to view an expansive array of music that is out there.

Competitions, Calls for Entry, and other exciting opportunities
Congratulations to Jack Paccione Jr for winning the My Life is Go competition! Now he's going to Sundance courtesy of Music Nation... Our friends at Music Nation hosted an amazing video competition made just for YOU creative types, and now we are sending the winner to SUNDANCE for a weekend of sun, snow and celebrities.
Jack turned on his camera and entered a short video clip that illustrated how music powered his life.

Gen Art & Biore® Skincare present Uncover/Discover Biore Skincare® & Gen Art teamed up this year for a national search for the best female filmmakers, fashion designers, musicians, & visual artists. The outreach kicked off in March at the South by Southwest Music Festival and continued until the showcase event in October 2007 in New York City. Over 1,300 entrants submitted their inspiration for a chance to gain recognition and win one of four $20,000 grants to follow their dreams. The site www.bioregenart.com hosted the 24 finalists (six per category) received over 15,000 votes to hone it down to 3 finalists per category, which then were narrowed down to one winner in each genre. Congratulations to Hearts of Palm UK for winning the Biore® Skincare Uncover/Discover competition in the Music Category!

Substance & Style: Don Julio Tequila presents Gen Art's newest music series - Substance & Style. Substance & Style is an intimate evening featuring a performance from an up-and-coming musical talent. The event provides the audience with an in-depth look into the performer's influences and inspirations as the performance is interspersed with a Q&A with the band.

Gen Art is always looking for new emerging DJs and musical talent, not only in the five cities where our offices are located (NY, LA, SF, Chicago and Miami) but from all around the country.
