Gen Art Involved with 4 Los Angeles Fashion Week Events!

Starting with its Los Angeles Alumni Designer Celebration on Tuesday, March 16th poolside at the Roosevelt Hotel, Gen Art will be on a roll this coming Los Angeles Fashion Week.  Following that event is the Launch Party for Molly Crabapple's debut collection for Dirtee Hollywood at Fred Segal Melrose.  

Then on Saturday the 20th, we join forces with BOXeight's Los Angeles Fashion Week Live Fashion Shoots, and bring it all to a very grand finale on March 22nd at Voyeur with Gen Art's LA Fashion Week Concluding Bash presented by Absolut Berri Acai. If you love, or even like fashon....and are not a Gen Art member...now is the time!   Two of the above events are open to all members and if you become a Gen Art producer level member, you receive tickets to all four, and then every other event we do for the rest of the year in Los Angeles...and around the country!

New Garde presented by Plastics Make it PossibleSM

When we first arrived at Drive-In Studios we were greeted with a nice surprise: models in underwear, bouncing around to Phoenix for a little pre show photo shoot. It soon became apparent that they belonged to Sophomore—one of the four New Garde honorees—and that the underwear, photographer and voyeurism were all part of Chrissie Miller's genius strategy. This went on all night and when we finally managed to pull our eyes off the scene, we found plenty more to gawk at.

STYLES 2009

Styles 2009 took place on December 2. The 25 finalists, selected from over 1,000 worldwide submissions, were the most geographically diverse in the competition’s history: hailing from Turkey, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Israel and Taiwan, as well as New York & Los Angeles.

9 judges were on hand including designers Victoria Bartlett, Douglas Hannant, James Coviello, Justin Chang, Wenlan Chia of Twinkle, and Michelle Siwy; Elle's Anne Slowey; Style expert Katrina Szish, and "Ford Supermodel of the World" Hyoni Kang. Emmy Award winner CW Morning reporter / anchor Tamsen Fadal was the Award's Host.

12th ANNUAL FRESH FACES IN FASHION L.A. SHOW

Fresh Faces LA was presented by Plastics Make It Possible took place on October 29th before 1,200+ guests at the Petersen Automotive Museum in West Hollywood hosted by the lovely and talented Kaley Cuoco, ending the 3 city fashion spectacle.  The show served as the kick-off for a National Design Competition for emerging designers working with plastic's based fibers.

7TH ANNUAL FRESH FACES IN FASHION CHICAGO SHOW

Fresh Faaces Chicago was the Grand Finale of the City of Chicago's official Fashion Focus Week.  The show, taking place in a massive tent at the magnificent Millennium Park, drew a capacity crowd of Chicago's eitle including members of the fashion industry, media world, as well as Nadine Velazquez from NBC's "My Name is Earl."

Fresh Faces took place on September 15th as the Grand Finale of Elle's Style 360 shows. That show was hosed by "Gossip Girl" guest star Joanna Garcia

The Plastics Make it PossibleSM Competition Winner!

Plastics Make It PossiblePlastics Make it PossibleSM and Gen Art challenged new and established designers to put their creativity to the test and design two dynamic womenswear looks made from fabrics made from plastic-based fibers such as polyester, rayon, nylon and more.
