Gen Art has showcased the works of over 300 visual artists over the past ten years. Gen Art not only wishes to expose new audiences to emerging visual art talent, but to cultivate new collectors for such talent's works. Artists including Ryan McGuiness, Will Cotton, and Paul Henry Ramirez have had some of their first exhibitions with Gen Art.
On Thursday, December 4th Gen Art opened the doors to its 1st Annual Vanguard New Contemporary Art Fair presented by Fage Total with a VIP Press preview with over 500 attendees. Thousands of art aficionados came throughout the week to see the selection of New Contemporary galleries which included: Carmichael Gallery of Contemporary Art, Murphy Art Books, M Modern Gallery, Thinkspace Gallery, Satellite Gallery, Antikulture Gallery, Yves Laroche Gallery, and Pop Art Studios and Gallery
On Friday, December 5th Gen Art held the Official Party Vanguard with more than 2,000 guests in attendance. At the main entrance to the fair guests were greeted by a monolithic, never before seen, Colin Christian sculpture which became one of the favorite photo op spots for the night. VIP guests ranged from Venus Williams and famed designer Todd Oldham.
In addition to viewing the galleries' artwork, throughout the evening guests enjoyed live art performances by LEBO who created 15ft. wide piece in the Acura lounge area, as well as Graffiti Research Lab (comprised of duo James Powderly and Evan Roth) who WOW'ed attendees with their "L.A.S.E.R. Tag."
As part of FAGE Total's partnership with Gen Art at the inaugural Vanguard Fair, FAGE Total challenged three renowned artists, James Marshall (Dalek), Gary Baseman, and AJ Fosik, to create custom works inspired by the brand's unique production, creamy taste and ridiculously thick texture. Two of the artists have made their works available for purchase via an online auction.
Last chance to bid: to get your hands on a piece of the action and to support Arts For Learning, please visit the online auction, which takes place from December 4th through the 11th, hosted by FAGE Total. 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Arts For Learning organization.
